Lift... Dahlia tubers and store in a dry place. Cut back daisies, geraniums and others that have finished flowering.

TREES ANS SHRUBS…


Prune… Trees that have finished flowering. Prune back to a growing bud or stem and seal the cuts on larger stems with Pruning Paste to protect against disease. Always clean your secateurs and loppers with white spirits to prevent transfer of diseases, and keep them sharp to give neater cuts.

Many plants will do a growth spurt in May before winter sets in. Give plants a little food in early May. Start thinking about winter planting of roses and prepare the soil.
