Daphne Perfumed Princess
A New Zealand bred, incredibly gorgeous plants with produces large clusters of highly fragrant flowers blushed with white all along the branches from Mid-Winter through till spring.
This particular variety is normally the first and last Daphne to flower in a season, has larger flowers than most Odora type Daphne, tolerates a wider range of soil coniditions, and can even cope with full sun.
Evergreen 1 x 1m
Prefers part shade but copes with full sun.
Grow in free draining soil rich in organic matter.
Dig a hole twice as deep and wide as the pot your plant comes in.
Mix compost and sheep pellets in with the topsoil. If you"re trying to plant in heavier soils, plant into a slight mound and use gypsum. Don"t use other limes as Daphnes prefer acidic soils.
Feed with Kings Slow Release Acid Fertiliser or for a natural option feed monthly in autumn and spring with Kings Ocean Grow and occasionally top dress with Sheep Pellets.
