Into trays for subsequent transplanting or after frosts, sow direct where to grow.
Cover seed with soil to a depth of 5mm. Space seeds 3cm apart, in rows 50cm apart.
Keep seedbed or tray evenly moist during germination. Germination period is between 14-21 days.
Tomatoes prefer a warm climate, with ample spacing to encourage high yields. Space seedlings 50cm apart once they are large enough to handle. Water regularly to prevent tomatoes splitting or cracking. Do not wet the leaves, watering the soil around the plants helps minimise fungal problems such as blight. Black Krim fruit turns "deep crimson red with an almost black tinge" when ripe. Black Krim is tall growing (1.5 metres) and requires stalking or other support.
