This hardy plant produces a mass of tangy juicy, aromatic and tasty fruit. The fruit are about 2.5cm round and turn a deep red when they are fully ripe. Great for making jams or jellies.
Grows from 2-4m high.
Full sun though will tolerate some shade. Prefers free-draining soil rich in organic matter. Can tolerate costal conditions.
Mix in compost and sheep pellets with your top soil when planting.
Prune for shape or to reduce size in late autumn or early spring. Fruit is borne on new seasons growth so don't prune after spring growth has commenced.
Feed with Kings Slow Release Citrus Food in spring or for a natural option mulch with sheep pellets and liquid feed with Ocean Grow.
