Blueberry Powder Blue 1.9L

This 'rabbit-eye' variety produces large clusters of light blue fruit. Fruit may need thinning to produce larger berries. Fruit stores well. To improve pollination and fruit set plant with another 'rabbit-eye' variety such as Saphire Blue or Tasty Blue.  Can be grown in a large pot. Fruits January through to mid March.

Grows 1.5 x 1.5 m

Position

Full sun, can handle some afternoon shade. Prefers free-draining, slightly acidic soil rich in organic matter.

Pollination

Semi self-fertile. For best results plant near another rabbit eye variety of blueberry.

Planting

Dig a hole twice the size of the pot.  Backfill, mixing in compost, peat and sheep pellets, and then plant into the loosened soil.

Use Kings Container Mix when planting in pots.

Care

Feed regularly with Kings Blueberry Food or for a natural option use Aquaticus Organic Garden Booster.

Water regularly through summer.

Prune out dead, damaged and diseased wood after it has finished fruiting.
