Forms a dense, evergreen pyramidal shrub with dark, aromatic green foliage that can be used to add delicious flavour to curries, stews and soups. Historically, the leaves were placed between books discourage insects from causing damage. Can be trimmed to create topiary, can be grown in pots or the ground. Hardy and tolerant of costal conditions.

Grow in full sun to part shade. Prefers free draining soil rich in organic matter.
Dig a hole twice as deep and wide as the pot it came in. Backfill, mixing compost and sheep pellets in with your topsoil. Use Kings Container Mix when growing in pots.
