Very popular avocado that produces delicious and creamy medium-sized fruit

This is a A-type Avocado. To improve pollination and fruit set plant near a B-type Avocado such as Cleopatra. Best suited to warmer areas in New Zealand. Frost tender especially when young however it is hardy to -2 to -3°C once established.

Grows 6 x 4m

Position

Full sun. Prefers free-draining soil rich in organic matter. They can struggle in heavier clay soil and are more prone to phytophtoras.

Planting

Dig a hole around 60-90cm deep. Backfill mixing in compost, sheep pellets and your top soil.

Gently plant into the loosened soil and feed with Nature's Organic Fertiliser. Try to avoid disturbing the roots as they can be quite delicate.

Care

Feed every 3-4 months with Aquaticus Organic Garden Booster.
