Planting
Petunias thrive when given the perfect start - plant them into soil that’s light, free-draining, and rich in organic goodness. To give your soil a boost, simply break up the soil and mix in Kings Compost and Kings Sheep Pellets! If you’re growing petunias in pots, use Kings Container Mix as this has the perfect blend of water-storing crystals and wetting agents to keep your plants hydrated and happy!
Care
Petunias planted in the ground or in pots need a thorough watering 2 to 3 times a week, however hanging baskets will require daily watering. Water them slowly allowing the water to sink down to the roots!
When planted into the ground make sure to liquid feed them every month with Aquaticus Garden Booster, from spring through to the end of autumn as this will encourage root growth and increase microbial activity in the soil. The only pruning required is to remove old flowers (deadhead) as this will encourage repeat flowering.
Whether you’re new to gardening or a seasoned green thumb, petunias are a stunning addition to any space! They're low-maintenance and full of colour, what more could you want in the springtime!
