Kings “Sure to Grow Guarantee” Terms and Conditions

Exclusive to our Garden Club Members**, we offer a Sure to Grow Guarantee for plants that have not grown as intended, applicable for twelve months from the date of purchase.


For in store purchases, bring your original plant to any of our eight Kings Plant Barn branches for a plant assessment. We will cross reference this with the purchase history on your Garden Club account, arrange a replacement and provide expert advice to help your next plant grow well.


For online orders, a photo of the original plant must be provided to info@kings.co.nz for assessment before a replacement plant will be offered.


We will always aim to provide a like-for-like replacement to the same value as the original plant. This does not include any accessories, fertilisers, mixes or delivery fees associated with the original purchase.


If the replacement plant variety is out of season when returned, a similar in-season plant will be offered as a replacement. Alternatively, we can place an order for the exact variety, and the replacement will be actioned once the plant is back in stock.


Some of our plants, such as annuals, are not expected to last multiple seasons and are not covered past their seasonal time span.


Clearance and free replacement plants are excluded from cover under the Sure to Grow Guarantee, unless a product fault is identified. Extreme external conditions such as weather and breakages are not covered under the Sure to Grow Guarantee.


Store credit or refunds are not applicable to this guarantee.


For online orders, additional delivery costs will apply if a replacement plant is provided.


Branch Manager discretion applies to our Sure to Grow Guarantee. Whilst most situations and plant failures will be covered by Sure to Grow, please visit one of our retail stores if you are unsure, and our friendly branch management teams will advise you further.



*Our Sure to Grow Guarantee does not impact our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act

**Plants purchased prior to June 2024 are also eligible with proof of purchase.
